LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS STANDARDS AND TRAINING COMMISSION

EX-OFFICIO MEMBERS:

• James Vlahakis , Director, DCI 
  The Chief Agent of the Division of Criminal Investigation, who shall serve as chairman;
    
• Robert Perry , Special Agent in Charge, FBI - The Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, who is in charge of the district in which South Dakota is located;
    
• Larry Long, Attorney General

APPOINTED MEMBERS - Seven shall be appointed by the Attorney General:

• Dan Mosteller, Superintendent, South Dakota Highway Patrol
  One person from the division of highway patrol;
    
• Mike Leidholt, Sheriff, Hughes County
  One person who is a duly elected, qualified and acting sheriff of this state;
    
• Doug Barthel, Chief of Police, Sioux Falls Police Department
  One person is a duly appointed qualified and acting member of a municipal police department of this state;
    
• Jim Seward, Butte County Deputy States Attorney
  One person who is a member of the state bar of South Dakota;
    
• Dr. Charles Kaufman, USD 
  One member recommended by the commissioner of higher education;
    
• Ray Hofman , City Council Member, Vermillion
  One member recommended by the South Dakota Municipal League; and
    
• Ronald Morrow, County Commmissioner, Douglas County 
  One member recommended by the South Dakota county commissioners association
